Supporting Communication Needs
I am a qualified Communication Support Worker (CSW). I have a total of 14 years experience working as a CSW working with children, adolescent and adults with a wide spectrum of neurodiverse conditions.
Role of a Communication Support Worker (CSW)
CSW’S support individuals to access information and communicate with others. We work along side other specialist teams in a wide range of domains.

The role of a CSW can vary, depending on the needs of the individual they are supporting. This can include:

Helping individuals with understanding and producing written materials

Adapting materials to enable the individual to understand more clearly

Suggesting ways the environment can be improved to make it easier for the individuals

Supporting individuals express their views, feelings and opinions.
