About Us

Our founder, Darren Neil Adams, was diagnosed with Autism (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) at the young age of 19. With so many struggles in employment and education, he continued to battle his way through a complex world, wanting to use his skills, qualifications, knowledge and lived experience to do something to support the lives of others living with neurodivergence conditions.

Darren went to university and now practises as a Registered Sign language interpreter (RSLI), Mental Health Supervisor, and Specialist Assessor for Deafblind people and continues to be a role model working with neurodivergent children, young people and adults as a communication and interaction specialist.

If you'd like to know more about our founder, Darren, and what he does, please feel free to look at his website

Darren believes Neuro-Unique was born, because children, young people and adults go through certain disorders, such as sensory processing disorder or sensory overload, it doesn't mean that they don't deserve the best or are unable to achieve and live fulfilling lives.

We have created sensory and special needs toys and made a list of professional services so they can play, learn and work despite their disability or needs.
